The Smyrna Rotary Club is the de facto PTO of Smyrna West. They support the school by providing special opportunities for our students. Their motto of Service Above Self conveys the humanitarian spirit of the organization’s members. Rotarians mentor our students on Job Shadow Day, provide a chance for our students to participate in the Boy Scouts, and provide financial assistance as needed.

Smyrna West faculty and students are raising money for the Books from Birth Foundation during the month of March. This program, founded in 2005, sends a new book every month to children under five. These children will have books of their very own, helping to ensure that they are read to regularly by their families. Feel free to join our campaign to give young children in Rutherford County a boost toward a successful education.

The Boys and Girls Club of Smyrna has provided a wonderful opportunity for our students: all students who attend Smyrna West are welcome to go to the Boys and Girls Club after school free of charge. Bus transportation is provided from Smyrna West so that students can spend those crucial after-school hours surrounded by people who will help them gain a sense of belonging, usefulness, and competence. The Boys and Girls Club is a safe place to learn and grow while having fun.
Students may request an application from Smyrna West or call the Boys and Girls Club.
